Tell us about yourself. What are your favorites hobbies?
Playing soccer, gardening, hanging with friends.
What brought you to Wrought Iron Gym? Did you have a specific goal when you joined?
I joined the gym to try something new, I was bored with going to a regular gym. I was skeptical of Crossfit, heard good and bad stories. I was looking to lose the stubborn baby weight and get back in shape.
How long have you been a member at Wrought Iron Gym?
I joined the gym in October/November 2016
What impact has CrossFit had on you inside and outside of the gym?
I have become more confident with myself, feel better about myself. I love achieving new goals and prs at the gym. Seeing myself lift the weight and do techniques I never thought I could.
Most memorable moment at Wrought Iron Gym.
Our first Christmas party…pooping the potato in the hole……squat cleaning 115# 5 times in the open workout.
What is your proudest CrossFit moment to date?
Deadlifting 235 at a competition….unbelievable!
What is your latest achievement at Wrought Iron Gym?
Hitting all my chin over bar pull-ups in the open!
What is your next achievement going to be?
String together pull ups.
What is your favorite movement/lift? Least favorite?
Favorite movement is deadlift.
If you could create a WOD, what would it look like?
Running, deadlifts, burpees (maybe bar over burpees).
What advice would you give to someone new to Wrought Iron Gym, or thinking of giving it a try?
Don’t knock it till you try it! I was very skeptical in the beginning and was warned “you will become addicted”, well they were right. I am addicted, to the workouts, the great feeling of accomplishment, the encouragement you receive while doing the workouts. Our gym community is the best and so glad I have met everyone here at Wrought Iron Gym!
